11:55 pm - A question

kozzie1317
I have only started following the Russian Super League this year, so I'm not entirely sure how it works. I do not understand any Russian at all, and the online translators aren't always the most clear things in the world. From what I understand, they're in their playoffs right now... how do their playoffs work? Do they have series, like in the NHL, or is it a do-or-die type thing like the NFL?

kozzie1317
I read that Slava Kozlov has left his Russian team Khimik and Ak Bars has admitted to be trying to sign him... goodness, does that team really need any more NHLers? But it would be nice to see a Kovalchuk/Heatley/Kozlov reunion.

- Nik Antropov signs a deal with Ak Bars Kazan. The team is reportedly also going after Darius Kasparaitis and Nikolai Khabibulin.

- Igor Grigorenko is loaned from Lada to Salavat Yulaev of Ufa. Igor will now see more playing time there than in Togliatti.

- Sergei Gonchar was hospitalized after suffering a concussion during a match between Magnitogorsk Metallurg and Moscow Dynamo. He was accepting a pass when Alexander Ovechkin blindsided him. Gonchar lost consciousness and was taken to the local hospital, where he spent the night in intensive care. Good news, it appears that Sergei has not suffered any serious injuries.

8:13 pm - Website

kozzie1317

First off I want to say that this is an awesome idea for a community, especially with all the NHLers currently playing in the Russian Superleague. I like to keep track of my favorite players (Slava Kozlov, Pavel Datsyuk, and Ilya Kovalchuk).

I found a nice website for the Russian Superleague: RusHockey.com. It's got daily updates and scores from all the teams in the Superleague, and it's in ENGLISH! Hallelujah!

And I figured that while I'm posting, I could throw in a shameless plug for my website, The Slava Kozlov Page. Biggest and best Kozzie site out there :)
